Our Brief Story
Brew and I started Canicross approximately 4 years ago with
Wessex Canicross, a fantastic club that covers the Wiltshire area and some outskirts of Bath and Frome.
We gained confidence while running with lots of groups, learning the ropes and taking in the experience of different locations, terrains and understanding the dogs and our own relationship as we ran together.
Within this time I found Wiggle and Wag at Trudoxhill near Frome. This is where we met James, who helped us get the correct fitted harness for Brew.
Not just a dog shop, Wiggle and Wag run events with Non-Stop dogwear and International GB Canicross runner Georgie Lambert and Kerry Burridge bikjor Competitior. Brew and I went to help out and before we knew it we were introducing this crazy sport to all kinds of dogs and owners.
I soon learnt how to fit harnesses and belts so that we could help to introduce the sport to even more interested runners and their dogs.
You can now run with us at Wiggle and Wag Friday afternoons.
And you will find us on Wessex Canicross runs, sometimes leading new groups and fitting kit or out on the longer adventurous terrains.
